personality Between him and Jane, Alec is the quiet twin, always observing those around him. He does not usually speak in the presence of others, unless he is speaking to Jane or Aro. As a result, he is often mistaken for being kinder than his twin, which is not true. He does not outwardly show it, but he believes himself as a god among the humans and vampires. He is also the calculating twin and has no qualms about waiting to attack when one least expects it. He enjoys the gift that he was given and uses it whenever possible, especially on the unsuspecting. There are only two beings in the world that Alec feels anything towards: his twin sister Jane and Aro. They are the only ones he will ever fully defend and attack for. Not even Caius and Marcus have this level of devotion from Alec. Jane, though, is the only one that he prefers to touch or be touched by, though Aro's touch is tolerated. Don't let his seemingly apathetic, or even empathetic, looking face deceive you. You wouldn't be able to fight back if he decided to kill you. BIOGRAPHY The Beginning of the Twins Alec was born in England around 800 A.D, the son of an Anglo-Saxon woman and a Frankish soldier. He was born a few minutes after his twin sister, Jane. Despite the slight difference, he considers his sister to be his equal in every way as she is the only one that has been with him from the beginning of it all. Both Alec and his twin began exhibiting psychic abilities at an early age. Rumors began circulating about the children, which drew the attention of Aro himself. However, neither twin had fully developed their powers nor understood them. The townsfolk, though, had noticed that things happened around the twins and believed they were skirting the line between human and witch. Of course, during this time period, the Christian church was growing strong and taught that witchcraft was a sin. The punishment? Death by burning at the stake. Aro, who had been watching the twins with plans to add them to is coven, heard about the planned execution and saved the twins, then turned them. It was at this point that Alec's powers fully manifested. Before Aro's arrival they had already been in the fire. While being burned, Alec focused on escaping the pain, and his ability manifested into cutting off the senses of any human or vampire. He assisted his sister in destroying the town that attempted to murder them. It was this and several other displays of such power that made Alec and his sister Jane the most prized guards of the Volturi. Bella and the Cullens Up unto the point of meeting the Cullens, there was little to no variation of lifestyle for the Twins. When his sister was ordered to bring Edward to them by Aro, he remained behind as his gift was not immediately necessary. Admittedly, he was slightly amused and curious by his sister returning with an additional vampire and a human as well. Though not outwardly shown, he was both bothered and intrigued by the fact that the human, Bella, was immune to his sister and master's powers. It was something he had never before witnessed but did not focus on heavily as he prevented his sister from going to drastic measures. While he did not care if the human lived or died, he did not like to go against orders if it was unnecessary. The Newborn Army Alec remained by Aro's side as his sister was ordered to report and handle the newborn army in the Cullen territory. Listening to her report upon her return had him annoyed that there seemed to be a coven gaining in strength to rival their own. He would prefer to erase the coven as they had refused to assimilate into their own or agree to an alliance once before. Alec would not act until Aro gave him orders, however. The Immortal Child up to the Present Having been a favorite of Aro's for so long with his twin, he is bothered by his master gifting a wedding present to the human Bella, though more due to the fact that Jane resented the human. Then the news of a presumed immortal child sired by Edward Cullen filled Alec with disgust and anger. The Volturi had established the ruling against immortal children for a reason and it seems that the Cullen thought himself above them. He joined his master, sister and guards to visit the coven in Forks. Seeing the human woman now turned vampire did not bother him until he realized that she could shield others from his abilities. It was an annoyance, one that would be fixed in the future. Though proven to have not sired an immortal child but a human/vampire hybrid, Alec's disgust did not go away. The Cullen clan had chosen to ally themselves with the Children of the Moon, something he personally disagreed with. However, his disgust was only limited to Edward and Carlisle, the perceived leaders of the coven. His detesting of Bella stemmed from a combination of her part in the creation of the hybrid and his sister's hatred for her. Upon returning to Voltera, Alec began to train in his physical abilities. They had not always been necessary given his and is sister's gifts.
