* I wish I had an angel
Elizabeth got to her shop around eight thirty, to start preparing to open for the day. She had her regular customers, and a few tourists past through but that was it. She made enough to live comfortably, despite her huge wealth from her family back in the day. She loved reading, and books were her passion, hence why she opened up a book shop with plenty of historical, fictional and other types of books to sell. She had a few antique books in a display cabinet, that were for sale for the right price, especially one about the Civil War, a first hand account in what it was like fighting for the Southerners.
The blonde vampire, set her keys under the counter and turned on her computer and cash register. The start up melody sounded on the machine, and she proceeded to quickly log in. After doing so, Elizabeth checked her watch and proceeded to the front doors. She unlocked them, and turned the bell on, that rang whenever someone entered or exited the shop. The vampire then went back behind her desk, and pulled out The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury. She was really enjoying this book, and was apprehensive in starting the next one. She heard the door bell go, and she looked up to see who had arrived.

So maybe I'm blind But I'm only human after all After the stressful last few weeks she'd had, Erin really just needed to get out of the house. Hell, the kid honestly needed to get away from Forks in general for at least a small slice of time. So without too much thought given, the teen opted to leave the house after breakfast. Though, of course Erin informed her parents that she was going out- if not, they would blow her phone up with endless texts. However the one person she didn't talk to, or see, was Blake. Shoving on her favorite leather jacket and leaving through the front door, Erin couldn't help but swallow back a thick layer of guilt. She'd have to talk to Blake, properly. Explain- or just- shit they just really needed to talk. She'd figure that out, she would.
Getting into her car, Erin breathed out a deep sigh before throwing her phone in a cup holder and then proceeding to start up the car. Eyes flicking up for a moment as her CD player whirred softly, before playing off the track it had been left at the previous day. A fairly good song in her opinion began playing up, 'People are Strange' part of a movie soundtrack- yes, that would do just fine. Smiling a bit to herself, Erin fiddled with the volume before eventually driving off for Port Angeles.
Traffic was pretty normal, so the trip only took a little more than an hour. Glancing out of her window at the various shops, Erin spotted a store she'd never bothered entering before. Fingers tapping against the steering wheel for a moment as she drove past, the teen thought to herself while watching the road. Perhaps something new would be nice? Yeah she probably just jinxed herself. Huffing and finding a place to park, Erin snatched up her phone and locked the car before heading across the street and going right for that quaint little bookstore.
The door made a telltale jingle as she pushed it inwards and walked into the shop. Immediately her keen senses perked up, making the new shifter notice two important things right off the bat. One, the smells of both old and new inks, coupled with a unique scent of book pages was probably the best thing she'd smelt so far after... Shaking her thoughts away from that train of thought, Erin's nose scrunched up a bit at the second important thing within the small store.
There was a sickly sweet smell lingering on everything, which spurred a sharp feeling of danger inside her mind. Instinctively the teen's gut seemed to be saying that something was very, very wrong here. Except, Erin had no idea why her body seemed to think there was a threat from something like a disgusting perfume. Scowling and turning down an isle without glancing over towards the counter, Erin lifted her hand and attempted to cover up her nose as nonchalantly as possible. Maybe some old lady had just, put on way, way too much perfume this morning. Yeah, that had to be it.
Hairs bristling on the back of her neck, Erin began scanning through the shelves, occasionally pausing at some interesting book tiles within the Science fiction section. However, she just could not shake the intense feeling crawling down her spine which screamed there was an unseen threat somewhere. Running a hand through her short dark hair, and almost nervously letting her eyes flick around the empty isle, Erin eventually just grit her teeth, reaching out for a book on the shelf which she'd actually been searching for. It was titled 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' While the paperback book was a bit older, the premise actually intrigued Erin. The reason she was looking for it was well... Blake had recommended it.
Nearly ready to open the front cover and read the first few chapters, Erin's head rose quickly upon hearing footsteps nearby.
Notes: I hope I'm allowed to jump in here! Also just in case you're unsure, Erin hasn't actually encountered the supernatural. Well, she probably has, but never actually realized that they were any different before phasing. So, yeah she doesn't actually know that Elizabeth is a Vampire. Her strange new wolfy senses are a-tingling and she doesn't know why ; )
