liam fitzgerald You want control, I disapprove general info
personality Notorious for his once territorial nature, Liam is considerably more tame than his first few years as a newly-fledged newborn. He's not typically fond of change, but has more or less learned to adapt for the sake of his clan and his mate. In truth, Liam's got the heart of a true Irish warrior. He's built for war and savagery, even if he realizes neither of those are entirely significant anymore. He's typically quiet, composed and indifferent in most matters. Which isn't to say he can't be kind, it just isn't usually all that noticeable. Liam's the kind of man who avoids showing any kind of vulnerability, he does it to guard himself mostly but to also protect his clan whom he cherishes more than life itself. On the other hand, he's significantly possessive of those he loves, and by that he'd mean Siobhan. It's about the only lingering state of territoriality he still upholds even as a mature vampire. A part he objectively refuses to give up since that's what drives him to protect her beyond anything else. As a vampire, he's fierce while in the hunt. Not to mention, he's been known to preferably prey on englishmen over anyone else, all upheld as a result of his time fighting them during ongoing wars. It's safe to assume he has a natural ability to be vindictive and begrudge others who have crossed him in his past. Building trust with him is a process, but once it's established, it can be as much as pure gold. The problem usually comes when people feel like abusing of his trust or betraying it altogether, then things never seem the same again. BIOGRAPHY He was a man with grit. Built for battle during an era where the stakes couldn’t have ever been higher. He fought for country and possessed the pride of a warrior. Of course, as a human, he’d been so much more. Liam was a father, a son, a brother and a considerably protective countryman who looked out for others when matters of nobility had a nasty habit of tearing through their lands. The Englishmen. An ilk he’d learned to detest more than death itself. They patronized, robbed and decimated what life the Irish has built for themselves. It was one of the burgeoning conflicts that forced said men against one another for centuries. In modern day, it obviously, isn’t as gruesome or necessarily hostile, but the scars of the past never fade away. He's never forgotten. As a young man, Liam learned how to fight like it was second nature. His ability to hunt and provide for others was ingrained into him as any other man that era. But much like others back then, he was poor, doing what he could day by day and eventually nurturing that into his offspring whom came after an arranged marriage. Not much was known about his lineage since, and neither did he "seem to care" after the Irish Rebellion of 1641. See, this Rebellion and later after Cromwell's conquest, was the defining moment which changed everything in his life. As it was typical in the supernatural world, there were many ways for people to fall prey and become victims into the curse he'd been forged in. Liam had become a vampire by what was known as battlefield excess. That meant that after a battle, it was common to see nomads feast on those that remained slayed. Once they were sated, they often fed for fun and torture, often times leaving their victims alive so that the transformation may begin. That, was effectively, how Liam became a newborn by the age of 36. As a newborn, his insatiable ravage was unrelenting. But there was one vampire in particular who saw something in him, and for whatever reason felt compelled to take him under her wing. That was Siobhan. In only a matter of 6 months, they had nurtured their relationship and had become mated, Liam wasn't just beholding to her then, he was incredibly possessive of her. Of course, with Siobhan's help, he'd learned to mature, to adapt and adjust to the new changes, preventing an ultimate confrontation against the Volturi. But when Siobhan first found Maggie, and implied she take care of her as a supernaturally powered vampire of her own, he'd barked back. He was entirely against it, and couldn't see himself sharing his mate with anyone else, but it had taken a good while in Maggie's company to see more in her and actually appreciate her, practically dote on her like a little sister. Ever since then, they'd formed their tightly bonded coven. Fast forward several centuries to modern era, and Liam was now an expert private investigator. His work offered him the best opportunities to feed while also getting rid of trash at the same time, he didn't exactly have the same moral compass as some of his kind - i.e. The Cullens or the Denali's, but he'd developed a bit of a sweet tooth for the Englishmen which have yet to extinguish. Even more recently, Liam as his clan found themselves in what seemed like the threat of the century when they laid as witness to Renesmee's changes. Though he was more than familiar with the spews of war, he knew confronting the Volturi would have taken a lot more than he would have wanted to wager. Regardless, he stood by the Cullen's side and returned their indebted favor to Carlisle who he had seen as a long time friend and ally. A year later, and Liam found himself traveling more than he was used to. Instead of returning to Ireland, he'd moved somewhere north of Forks, while he continued his business in the Seattle area. It's only a matter of time before he realizes staying near the Cullens was meant to be, for what was coming next. | ooc info ☆ NAME Mortimer ☆ AGE twenty-seven ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ TIMEZONE GMT-7/PST ☆ HOW DID YOU FIND US?
