Mason Isaac Abraham and I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb general info
personality First things first, Mason is and isn’t what you’d expect. He’s full of surprises – not only to the people around him but to himself. He is first, and foremost, a complete asshole. He’s arrogant, rude and cocky – although this is a bit of a front. He doesn’t let people in easily and finds it difficult to show his feelings or any kind of humanity. He is one hundred and seventy three, it’s been a long time since he felt anything human – because of this, although humans for all intents and purposes are food and kind of irritating, he also finds them fascinating. Their blatant lack of self-preservation is astounding. I wouldn’t go as far as to say Mason is loyal, but he does seem to have a kind of protective instinct when it comes to those closest to him. Though he’ll shrug this off and probably eventually use it to his benefit. However, you don’t want to upset him or cross him at all. He will play games with you and make your life as miserable as possible should you decide to get on the wrong side of him. He’s not entirely honest either, using things to his advantage. But, despite all of the negatives, most of those that know him (although they might not admit it) would miss him if he wasn’t around. Mason, deep down (and I’m talking way deep down) does have a shred of humanity somewhere. He currently only feeds on humans he stumbles across committing crimes, or blood bags he swipes from hospitals on his travels – trying to be discreet and not make too much of an impact to be noticed. Of course he does fall off the wagon occasionally, but not often. He has learnt how to integrate with humans without the constant need to feed – and so happily lives quietly amongst them. BIOGRAPHY Mason had a happy childhood – the oldest of 3 boys, he was bought up by his mother Anne and his father Joseph in the small town of Stockbridge, Georgia. He grew up to become a skilled carpenter, looking after the towns buildings and creating a small business of his own. Sure it didn’t pay too much, but when his brother Henry followed in his footsteps the two of them made quite a venture of it and became fairly successful, doing trade with other local towns. It was 5th March, 1859. Mason met her on his way home from a local council meeting. He was 25 years old and quite the southern gentleman. She’d looked lost…but she wasn’t. Her attack was quick, and her bite was excruciating and then she was gone. He felt like his whole body was on fire – the venom rapidly pushing itself through his veins, slowly he dragged himself into the depths of the forest and waited for death to take him. 3 days past, he writhed around in pain wishing it would stop, wishing it would end. It didn’t. After the three days, he felt his heart stop and in that instance, the burning ceased and he opened his eyes for the first time. What the hell had happened to him? Everything seemed sharper and more detailed, it was weird. The only pain he could feel was a slight burn in his throat – was that normal? That’s when she appeared again. Helena. She taught Mason about his new life, taught him how to hunt inconspicuously, and for the next hundred odd years they travelled the Americas, never settling, whilst he adapted to this new way of life. It had broken his heart to leave his family behind, especially his brother Henry. For all he knew – they’d believed he had gone missing one evening and never returned, lost, with only the memory of him to help them through their grief. This tormented him slightly, and after a while Mason put his human thoughts and feelings to the back of his mind and only focused on being who he now was. A vampire. In the process, Mason became cold, rude and obnoxious to everyone who knew him. Maybe this was the reason for the more recent events. It was late January 2007 that the Volturi caught up with them. Helena in particular was who they wanted. She’d become lazy and conspicuous with her killings. Confiding in Mason, she had explained her desire to end her eternal life – Mason couldn’t understand her want and tried to change her mind. It was too late. They came for her, destroyed her without any battle, and warned Mason to think twice before following in his creators’ footsteps. In a desperate attempt to avoid losing his eternal life, Mason heard rumours of a coven in Forks, Washington that had learnt to live almost normally with humans. Wondering what it would be like to settle, he decided to head for the small town to study these vampires, fascinated by the idea of being able to stay in one place. He’d never been in love, he’d never settled, and he’d never had any real friends other than Helena. Deciding that maybe Forks could be fun and hey, if he got to settle that was a plus, he set off on his new adventure. | ooc info ☆ NAME Becki ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Bella Cullen Emily Locklear ☆ TIMEZONE Lond GMT ☆ ANY OTHER INFO?
