Angela Weber grabbed her car keys and purse. She was headed to Port Angeles to get some new reading material, and to grab some lunch and maybe do some shopping. She bid her mother goodbye, and told her that she'd be back soon, before she left her child-hood home. One might think that Angela would rather spend her vacation and free days with her friends, especially her roommates, but Angela came back home every time she had a long weekend. With her luck, her professors for her Friday and Monday classes had cancelled class, so she was able to leave campus as soon as her last Thursday class. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays were her heaviest days for classes, as on Monday and Friday she only had one class either day. Angela got in her car; she'd had it since high school, but it still ran reliably, and she didn't have the money to get a better car, even if she was on a full ride.
After stopping at a gas station to get some gas, she headed to Port Angeles, where she pulled into a parking space at the place she planned to eat lunch. The bookstore was just across the street, so she walked across the street. A young man held open the door for her. "Thanks," Angela replied, walking into the book store. She headed right to the young adult section, where after perusing the options, picked out a book, before walking to the new releases. She picked up a few books that caught her eye, only to read the excerpt or a page from the book, and set them back down again.

| B ella hadn’t ventured into Port Angeles for months. As she stepped out of the car, she breathed in the fresh air and smiled. It was refreshing to be out of the house and away from the Cullens for a change. It had been a long while since she’d had some complete alone time. Not that she didn’t adore her family, she did - more than anything. But sometimes it was just nice to be Bella again. She’d always been a bit of a loner in her human life, well…until she moved to Forks anyway. It was only when she moved to Forks that people paid attention, or actually wanted to be freinds with her. It had all been quite weird and unexpected. Slamming the car door, Bella pushed the lock button on the key and wandered along the main street. Her first memory of Port Angeles had bought her closer to Edward. It had been the moment she’d discovered what he was, and had decided that he was what she wanted. Forever. That had been a strange but amazing night - her whole world had just locked into place, everything had made sense. She smiled to herself, letting her mind drift a little. It had started out as a shopping trip with Angela and Jess that had soon gone very wrong. Bella found herself wondering what her old friends were up to, how college was going for them. It was only when Bella looked up, did she realise where she’d ended up. Stood outside the bookshop that had started everything, she bit down on her lip. If it hadn’t been for her longing to go there to get the book that would hold all the answers - then Edward wouldn’t have had to save her, and none of this would necessarily have happened. She took a deep breath, wanting to keep the smell of human blood out of her senses as much as possible, and pushed open the door. It was so old, and dusty - just as a book store should be. She meandered along the aisles, taking in all the details swiftly as she did. It was only when she noticed the familiar figure in the young adult section that Bella froze. Angela. What on earth did she do now? She was sure to notice the change in Bella, Angela had always been observant. Bella turned on her heels, accidentally colliding with someone who’d been stood far too close. “Sorry,” she mumbled, trying to ignore the burning hot sensation in her throat. |
