The sun had finally set across the water in Grand Haven, the sky for once was a cloudless inky blue space with tiny stars peaking through. It was late September 1925 and Edward found himself travelling around Michigan State. It was strange for him to be so close to Chicago, close to home, but have no reason to go there. It made him think about Carlisle and how he had left things with him and Esme before he left. The vampire had began to resent Carlisle for curbing his thirst, for making him suppress his natural instincts, feeding on animals instead of humans. It wasn’t that he enjoyed killing humans, in fact he despised it. But their blood left him feeling more fulfilled, satisfied. So he had rebelled against his adoptive parents and left the coven to live alone as a regular vampire.
He used his talent of being able to hear people’s thoughts to target his victims. Edward tried to choose people that were evil; who had no good intentions towards other; including rapists and murdered. He justified his feeds as saving innocent people that these people would have otherwise hurt. Most nights, the vampire lurked in dark places; alley ways, movie theaters and bars, where he could blend in and no one would notice him following someone.
For the last few days he’d been in Grand Haven, a place he’d chosen because of nostalgic reasons. When he had been human, Edward had vacationed here at the beach with his mom. But tonight it was time to move on. Not too far away, just to the next town; Grand Rapids. Being a vampire, he didn’t have to rely on any transport other than his feed. Taking one last glance out over the water, Edward turned and began running, his body moving fast than it ever had before. The human blood that flowed through his body allowed him to push himself faster than it was able to when it was fuelled by animal blood.
It wasn’t long until he found himself creeping in a darkened alley behind a sleazy whore house. He could hear the thoughts of one man who had impure intentions towards many of the women who worked there. Edward waited patiently until his prey immerged from the house and stalked him silently. He cornered him and instantly sunk his teeth into the man’s neck, draining his blood. Instantly the burn at the back of his throat was sated. Once he was finished, Edward tossed his body aside for someone to discover in the morning and dragged his hand over his mouth, removing the trace of blood from his lips.
Satisfied, Edward turned to leave, and as he did, he caught the thoughts of someone that he instantly knew wasn't human. The scent that accompanied it confirmed it too. "Who lurks in the shadows of ally?" he called out.

September 1925 Generation Game It was a mild evening, and Elizabeth was out for her evening walk. She was quite thirsty, as she hadn't fed in a few days. She looked at her watch, straightened her coat and found a nearby brothel. Elizabeth wrinkled her nose, but her throat was burning.
She entered the red light house, and paid for the most popular whore they had. She nodded to the Madam of the house and went to the room she was directed to. She knocked on the door, then entered. Seducing the... Spoilt human, Elizabeth slowly sunk her teeth into the prostitute's neck. The woman let out a silent scream, as every last drop of warm, crimson liquid was drained from her. The vampire swallowed with satisfaction. It tasted so good, especially when it was a type of human she despised so much. Once she was finished, Elizabeth threw the body on the floor, and wiped her mouth with her hand. That was one delicious meal.
Elizabeth left through the fire escape, and entered an alleyway. The scent of another vampire filled her nostrils, and she let a small smile creep across her rouge lips. "Lurking? Why my child, I would never do such a thing." she turned around, a gave him a wide smile. Her heels clicked on the ground as she made her way over to him. Looking him over, she let out a small chuckle. "So young, and so rebellious. The streets are not safe for a youngling such as yourself. You'll soon learn that the hard way, child." She said, calmly, and sighed.

Despite rebelling against Carlisle, Edward had tried to keep himself to himself. Only socialising with others like him when necessary. Just because he wanted to feel satisfied in his thirst, doesn’t mean that he wanted to associate himself with monsters. He didn’t agree with the concept of killing for the sake of feeding or for fun. He was specific with the people he hunted, with help from his gift. He was taking lives from people who didn’t deserve it. It wasn’t that he didn’t understand the principles from Carlisle’s abstinence from human blood; it was more that he was rebelling against his thirst being under satisfied.
Edward red eyes scanned the darkened alley ahead of him, his crystal clear vision drinking in every detail from the trash that littered the floor to the tattered sign that barely clung to the wall advertising some gentleman’s club which was clearly a front for bootlegging and a speakeasy. And then his eyes landed on her, just off of the fire escape coming out of the building. His body stayed tense, ready to defend himself if necessary. He’d learnt over his few years as vampire that not all vampires were friendly or even pleasant.
”My apologise Ma’am” he spoke clearly. ”Women rarely seen walking in allies late at night without a chaperone” As she approached him, her thoughts became clearer and he took in her appearance. Blonde and beautiful; not Rosalie beautiful but still, with the vampire beauty gene had been kind to her. He narrowed his eyes towards the woman. He may be young physically; forever frozen at the age of seventeen. And he may be relatively new into the vampire world, but he did not appreciate being called or spoken to as a child. Plus, as far as this woman was aware, he was already hundreds of years old. ” Forgive me, but I’m not a child.” Edward said, his voice calm and steady. ”I am more than able to look after myself.”

September 1925 Generation Game A small chuckle left the Englishwoman's lips, as she continued to smile at him. "My dear I was turned during the Tudor era, that was when I was born. I know there are vampires older than me, but in my eyes you are still a child. Where is your sire?" she asked, feeling a little curious. This boy was piquing her interest, despite him being so young. Elizabeth had met others like him before, thinking they knew the ropes, going off on their own. It was dangerous, and everyone knew the Volturi were never pleased with rogue vampires running around.
Elizabeth took a few steps past the other vampire, her heels clicking on the ground. "I suggest you run along home... If the Volturi catch news of a vampire running around without the aid of the one who turned him..." she spoke a tad louder, and turned back to face him. "Well, lets just say you won't be here for much longer." Elizabeth said, softening her voice again. Her scarlet eyes were full of mock concern, she barely knew this male and to run into him on one of her usual haunts, was not a good idea. "My name is Elizabeth Juliet Lancaster... In case we run into each other again, dear." she raised her hand up, and wiggled her slender fingers at him, saying goodbye and began to walk away.

People tended to underestimate Edward a lot of the time. They saw a physically young man and often assumed that he was young in years. But in reality, he was actually technically twenty seven years old. He’d already learnt a lot from Carlisle and from being off on his own. Plus, his special little gift gave him an edge that most vampires didn’t have. That made up for his lack of years/. ”Your date of turning means nothing to me,” he retaliated. Some vampires thought that they were superior in regards to their transformation date, but that was nothing but a technicality. ”Age is nothing but a number. I wish nothing from you, so when you were born does not make no difference,”. His upbringing was ensuring that he was staying polite and gentleman like. Edward could hear in her thoughts that she was intrigued by him. ”I’ve been a vampire for long enough that I do not need to be with my creator,”. The bronzed haired vampire was always cautious with when and whom he fed on. He knew the law, and the teaching of Carlisle wasn’t completely lost.
Edward was getting frustrated at this woman. She was assuming so much about him, and yet, in reality, she knew nothing. That was one thing that Edward had noticed; the other the vampire, the more they assumed that they knew everything. ”I beg your pardon ma’am, but I’m not the one who has just left a whore house with a trickle of blood on my chin. If anyone will catch the attention of Aro, it won’t be me,” He had been doing everything by the Law. Carlisle had ensured that they respected the Volturi. The only thing that Edward was doing differently now he was rebelling was feeding on humans; like any other normal vampire. ”Miss, you state that I am without my creator as if I am an errant child, but at the same time you are out here alone, without the aid of the one that turned you. Yet you fear not for yourself, only me.” He didn’t like the future that this blonde was implying. No crime had been committed in the eyes of the Volturi.
Turning, he followed the direct that the woman who introduced herself as Elizabeth, his crimson eyes squinted at her, watching her every move carefully and judging her thoughts. ”I doubt that we will cross paths again Elizabeth, America is a big place. And ones like us don’t stay in one place for long.”. Shoving his hands deep into pockets, he began walking in the same direction that Elizabeth had began moving in. ”My name is Edward,” he told her, offering her his hand. ”Just passing through,”
