Edward’s long fingers tapped at the increase volume button on his Volvo control centre until the sound of Tchaikovsky filled the car. As the music built, Edward pressed his foot down on the accelerator and the Volvo sped out of the Cullen’s drive way and towards the main road. By the time he had reached the highway, the speedometer was touching 180mph. Driving this fast at any time of day for a human would be detrimental, driving this fast at three am would have been just idiotic. But for Edward, it was as easy as driving at 10mph. His heightened senesces allowed him to be able avoid hazards as soon as they presented themselves. Plus, even if he didn’t manage to break in time and he was involved in an accident, he would be able to walk away without so much as a scratch on his face. Perk of having marble hard skin. Try explaining that to the cop that had to investigate the accident though. As per usual, the sky was full of thick clouds threatening to rain at any moment. That was one of the best things about living in this rainy region of the United States. The Cullen’s rarely had to hide away from the sun; not that it burned them like most vampire horror stories made people believe, more like it reacted with vampire’s skin causing it to sparkle almost. But here in Forks, it wasn’t something that happened often. So the family were free to do normal things like go to work and school with minimal disruption. Edward always chuckled at people’s thoughts when they resented going to work or when a stroppy teenager moaned about having to attend a class. It was something that humans took for granted; something that amused Edward yet infuriated his sister, Rosalie. He shook his head lightly as a smile tugged at his lips at the thought of his sibling. Life at the moment was good. He and Bella were good, Renesmee was healthy and happy! And the Cullen’s were still getting away with passing as humans living in Forks. As his mood lifted, his speed accelerated again up to 200mph. The word passing in a blur around him, but he could see everything clearly as if he was taking a stroll. Before he knew where he was heading, he found himself in the parking lot of the park in Port Angeles. It was somewhere that he had brought Renesmee over the last year many times, somewhere that was normal full of families with laughing children and dogs chasing tennis balls. But now at three am, it was still – peaceful. With a flick of his wrist, Edward removed the keys from the engine and climbed out of the car. Instinctively, he inhaled, checking out his surroundings; no humans around, a stray cat loitering somewhere around towards the east of the park but that was all. He’d only hunted last night with his daughter – who had apparently inherited her mother’s talent for hunting – so his eyes were golden and the burning sensation in his throat was subdued for now. Edward hit the lock button on his keys as he headed into the park. Shoving his hands into his jeans pocket he wandered through the gates enjoying the silence. It was so rare that Edward experienced silence. Even when a place was quiet, usual he could hear the hum of people’s thoughts. But now, in an empty park when this side of the world was asleep, it was silent. It gave the copper haired vampire time to reflect on the past year. It had been over three hundred and sixty five days since that almost battle in the clearing with the Volturi, and so far they had heard nothing from their Italian royal family. But Edward wasn’t stupid enough to think that they had forgotten about him, Alice and Bella. One day they would return and they would have to defend themselves again. For now, Alice was keeping an eye on them from time to time, but they were playing their cards close to their chest; using the holes in Alice’s visions to their advantage. It was unsettling Edward, but he refused to let their silence spoil his happily ever after. He was enjoying his life with his family now. He only let himself think about it when he wasn’t around his family. He didn’t want to worry them. Upon reaching the still pond, Edward sat himself on a bench and exhaled deeply. Not that he needed to breath; it was more habit than a necessity. The first few drops of rain began to fall from the sky. A scent caught Edward’s attention… he wasn’t alone anymore.

I AM NOT A HERO i am just a person trying to find her way
Sleep eluded her once more, her thoughts have been in overdrive and it had proved to be a difficult situation as of late. A sigh and the change in the traffic light drew her thoughts back to where she had ended up. She could have driven her car but found the walk in the cold air with no one around to be peaceful. The night time had always been her friend, the silence and that was how she lived when she was first born. Her thoughts went back to her birth, the day her mother died and her father lost his meal source – she never even knew her name all her father had been bothered about was finding another blood source and to find out what demonic creature; ironic if she thought about the creature he had been. Taking in a deep breath, she took in the scent of the woods nearby and the wet grass, some of her favourite smells that this world had to offer.
The wind was whipping through her hair causing her hair to fall away from its ponytail. She had been in the town for just a little over 2 months and had yet to find the answers she was looking for. Maybe the stories where just that… stories which could only frustrate her more. In fact, she had allowed herself just a little bit of hope to find out more about herself but once more that hope had been dashed. Charlotte was happy in the person she was, she could ensure that she kept herself safe.
The more she walked, the closer she was to the park. Now this was a place she enjoyed sitting when she was not doing the other things that required her attention. Like decorating her home, or sewing. A passion she had developed over the years was a keen eye for art, design and music and nothing else really. Music and art was timeless and in essence so was she for she had stopped aging a very long time ago.
Once more, her attention was drawn back to a figure in the distance and a scent of a vampire. Charlotte froze and thought of her next move for a moment. The scent was slightly strange, it wasn’t the one of a vampire that drank human blood, maybe the creature hadn’t fed in while. But, she didn’t know how to approach the situation.

The birth of his daughter had sent Edward’s life up into the air and only recently was it settling down. He wasn’t just adjusting to being an average new father, but a father to a rapidly developing hybrid; something that all of the family were still learning about on a daily basis. They had only ever met two hybrids; Renesmee and Raoul. The one good thing that they had learnt from Raoul was that Renesmee wasn’t in any danger of growing old and dying thanks to her mixed heritage. That, plus that she could sustain herself on both blood and human food – although watching her and Jacob stuff hot dogs in their faces was a giveaway that human food was substation too. There were many questions that they had yet to really find answers to. It was something that probably only time would tell them. He was also newly married. A lot had changed in such a short period of times; it was a lot for even a vampire to get his head around. Nevertheless, sometimes it was nice to escape from it for a moment, to clear his head. He constantly had other people’s thoughts; intruding his mind; apart from Bella’s anyway. It’s true what they say, silence is golden. The rain was coming down slightly heavier now, dampening his clothes ever so lightly, thankfully, being a vampire meant that he didn’t feel the cold or the damp. The approach of someone through did make him stiffen; unsure whether it was a friend or foe. A vampire’s automatic response was fight rather than flight. But the Cullens’ were a little more civilised than your average red-eyed vamp, so while he was tensed, he appeared casual. As the person came closer, their thoughts became clearer to Edward. They were just as unsure of him, as he was them. But quickly he began to realise that either this person knew a lot about his world, or they weren’t human. Their thoughts were filled with knowledge about vampires and human blood drinking, but Edward could also hear a heartbeat… Raising his golden eyes to meet the figure that now wasn’t too far away, he realised that it was a young girl. ”I mean no harm,” he spoke knowing that despite the distance between them, she would likely hear him perfectly clear. Edward could hear her heart racing now, it sounded like Resnesmee’s, faster than a normal human’s. ”Who are you?” Not wanting to scare whoever it was, he stayed sitting perfectly still. If anyone else could see him now, they’d think he was carved from stone on the bench. ooc; im so sorry this is so bad ): next post will be better i swear (-

I AM NOT A HERO i am just a person trying to find her way
It was an interesting situation that Charlotte found herself in and in fact it was not the situation she wanted to be in. Still frozen to the spot as numerous sceneries flashed through her head, each just becoming worse as the next; would vampires be able to feed on her? Now that was a question that flashed up in her mind every now again.
This man or creature was sat as if he was a statue and that was the true give away sign. Charlotte looked around considering any escape routes but she was too far away from the trees to use them as shelter. Then something happened, that stunned her more than she would ever care to admit – the man spoke and her breath caught slightly, he meant her no harm? Surely that must be a lie! Not an angel herself by any stretch of the imagination but her heart beat, she was alive. This creature was not and that surely meant lacking in any human emotions. Charlotte although may have been fathered by a dangerous creature, she did not associate herself with him.
“And yet I cannot believe you don’t mean me the slightest harm; since it is in your nature.” Charlotte spoke boldly, however this was a front but never let the enemy see any weakness and certain don’t give them an advantage. “However, my name is Charlotte and may I enquire what your name is?” Her face neutral as she took in another deep breath to re-focus herself. This was a situation she rarely found herself in it had been too long since she faced a possible confrontation.
There seemed to be coldness in her voice and this was her defence and it worked. For so long she had been on her own, but she didn’t mind that after her father decided to get himself destroyed for the most idiotic act. However, that was in the past and it would stay there. Charlotte kept mainly to shad-ows, never drawing attention to herself for her own safety. “How do you have such control? Because you scent, it has a different smell.” The words she thought fell from her lips and out into the open.
It would be easier to walk away and hide away in the shadows once again, but truthfully she was fed up of it. She may have lived for over two hundred years but she had not truly lived – it was becoming boring and made her question things.

From the moment that Renesmee had been born, Edward had had numerous questions; outside of the ones that the family shared as a whole about her future and development. He wondered if she was venerable to attack from red eyed vamps. He wondered if other shifters would view her as a thread and attack, those that didn’t live by the imprints must not be hard law anyway. He wondered if any other threats would present itself to her that they were unaware of currently. None of which he had gained concrete evidence to yet. Her scent hadn’t appealed to any that they had come across so far, but only time would tell when they came across any rouge vampires. Edward himself had only met one other hybrid outside of his daughter so far and he hadn’t wanted to taste his blood; but then again Edward and the Cullen’s didn’t feed on humans so they were able to resist it more. Edward could hear the shock and disbelief in the woman’s thoughts. Of course she was dubious; vegetarian vampires were rare. The Cullen’s had only come across one other coven of vampires that abstained from humans. So to think that this woman would automatically believe he was being truthful was naïve. He stayed sat still in his position, to try and convey and reassure through his body language that he wasn’t going to attack or harm her. He truly meant what he said. She was right though; vampires’ nature was animalistic and crazed, designed to attack and maim. ”I assure you, I work hard to repress that part of my nature,” he replies with a small smile. It wasn’t easy to live as the Cullen’s did. At one time, Edward and rebelled against Carlisle’s philosophy and had embraced his vampire instincts. However, with the perk of his added talent, he soon found that it was not how he wanted to live; you could say that Carlisle had embedded a conscious into him. So every day Edward fought against natural urges, feeding on animals instead, interacting with humans and attempting to be good. ”My name is Edward Cullen. My family live in Forks.” his voice was steady and calm. The golden-eyed vamp could hear in Charlotte’s thoughts that she was fighting the urge to run and hide from him. But he didn’t want her to be scared of him. ”Years of practice,” he smiled a wide grin at her. ”My family and I, we aren’t like other vampires. We feed only on animals. We like to call ourselves vegetarian vampires,” he told her, with a small laugh. ”It’s the elk and mountain lion blood you can smell in me.” He’d only hunted the day before so the animal blood was still fresh in his system. ”Like I said, I mean you no harm… are you… a hybrid?”
