one day you'll hear this song
and understand that all along there's something more that i'm trying to say. oh, harry. oh, harry. why can't you see what you're doing to me.
So Sera’s parents came up with a brilliant plan...school. The idea of going to school worry her? Yes it did, she was super worried about it, not only was she worried someone would find her out, she also worried about well...being the new girl. She had never been to school before, she didn’t understand why they were making her go now other then she had to learn. When she convinced them to settle she didn’t think they would be making her go to school...with kids...normal people. She wasn’t a normal kid, she didn’t really do normal, her foster family wasn’t normal, they were shifters. She was a hybrid, half human, half vampire, what if she got hungry during school and not for food, for blood. She didn’t do well in crowds, even though she was outgoing as heck, she didn’t know about being stared at all day.
Her parents weren’t going to send her alone thank gosh, they were sending her one brother. The one she got along with famously, they acted like real siblings and he was the kinder one out of the two. Him and Sera never went anywhere without the other, they were joined at the hip. She was a little less nervous having her brother come along, of course he was in a higher grade than she was, she a sophomore and he a junior. So they wouldn’t have the same classes together but hopefully their lunch would be together, she’d be so nervous if they had different lunch periods.
So come Monday morning of the next week Seraphina was standing in the office getting her new class schedule, a little confused with it all. For a second she wondered if she could do this, second period she got turned around, she defiantly wasn’t sure she could do this. Most of her day was her trying to figure out where to go, and getting turned around. Then the teachers made her stand up and introduce herself, how odd, it seemed American teachers like to embarrass their students.
By the time lunch came around Seraphina was tired, and convinced going to school was a really dumb idea. However as she moved over to an empty table she pulled her cell phone out, she had about six messages from her brother who was worried about her first day. She was in the middle of texting him when she noticed someone, or someone’s had sat down at her table, causing her to raise an eyebrow. ”Hello...am I sitting at your table?” She asked softly, her accent was very thick so she hoped they could understand her. She looked back down as her phone buzzed, smirking as her brother told her to get in the popular crowd. She had a feeling that was easier said than done. Glancing back up at the people who sat down she grabbed the bottle of water and opened it, taking a small drink before setting it back down. ”Names Seraphina by the way...nice to meet you all.”
She didn’t like meeting new people...especially normal human people, she wasn’t sure how to be human...well she did and didn’t. Seraphina sighed softly as she took another drink of her water, pushing her food around on her plate, it didn’t look to good, and she suddenly was craving her mums home cooked meals. She glanced around for her brother, texting him to see where he was, but he came back with study hall. That sucked, they didn’t even have the same lunch together, really blew. Glancing back at the people who sat at her table she licked her lip nervously. ”So….what grade are you in?”
