Henry Zander Abraham This will be all over soon, pour salt into the open wound general info
personality Henry is a gentle, kind and very empathetic person and this didn’t change much after he was turned; however, it wasn’t as evident as it was before. It was hard for him to place himself in a box, feeling like he didn’t quite fit in anywhere, and this didn’t bother him much. He knew he was a good person, he would always put others first and try his best to do the right thing, he was for all intents and purposes a people pleaser and a bit of a pushover. Of course he wasn’t so soft that he had no backbone, he truly did have a darker side, one that didn’t come out as often as his older brother’s, but it wasn’t locked away either. Nothing ever happened much in his life before the age of twenty two, he never had a reason to delve deep into himself and always just moulded his personality to fit the situations he found himself in. That all changed when his brother went missing. His life took a left turn and his seemingly tranquil life changed to one of sorrow. He started to care less and less and he became frustrated with himself and everyone around him. It was safe to say that he became bitter. One year or so after his brother’s disappearance there wasn’t much left of the kind Henry. A week before he was turned he decided to let go and travel, find himself. The light was slowly returning and the bitterness was fading, but nothing good ever lasts. He turned and the years went by, years where he discovered old and new aspects of himself. The Henry of the present time is still kind, empathetic, but no longer a pushover or a people pleaser. He’s very cautious but can knock you on your ass in a fight, whether it’s physical or with mere sarcasm and witty remarks, he can kickass. BIOGRAPHY Born on the 9th of June in 1831 to Anne and Joseph Abraham in the small town of Stockbridge, Georgia, Henry was the second child to what would become three. He was turned into a vampire on the 15th of June in 1861, but before that he had a carpenter business with his older brother, Mason, whom he admired and was very close with. On the 5th of March, 1859, Mason went missing and he never heard or saw him again, although he always hoped he would. Henry looked for his brother ever since it became clear that he was in fact gone, and even though no one saw or knew anything about Mason’s disappearance, Henry didn’t stop. The carpenter business went under after a few months, Henry could no longer keep up with it, plus his constant fights with the locals weren’t exactly good for business. After the death of his mother he took to drinking and travelled to nearby towns to further inquire about his brother’s disappearance. People mocked and spread rumours of Mason, which was the cause of the fights he found himself in, and even though John, his younger brother, tried to convince him to move on, he couldn’t. Eventually John and his father moved away, his father no longer being able to live in a place where he lost both a son and a mother, but Henry couldn’t leave. A few more months passed and Henry found himself ‘celebrating’ his twenty fourth birthday, a day which he drank away. The next day he woke up, miserable and feeling sore and sick, and so after reflecting on the past year he decided that he needed to move on, perhaps travel and join his father and brother later on. He took a week to sort out his things, make his plans and to finally move on, not give up, but to no longer put his life on hold and let it waste away. The 15th of June arrived; he was at a bar that was in Atlanta. He didn’t expect much, but he was so use to asking by now that he asked around about Mason, but no one seemed to know anything. He left the bar not long after and was confronted by a woman, and although his memory of that night was vague, he remembered she said she knew the vampire who turned Mason and didn’t like her or his brother too much. The following moments felt like someone was burning him alive, over and over and over again. Three days later he woke up in an abandoned storage area and the burning sensation he felt all over his body was gone, except for in his throat. The entire afternoon he locked himself in a supply closest, trying to block out the noises of the city, trying to keep himself from giving in. He remembered hurting himself, trying to kill himself, trying to stop the pain and the overwhelming urge for blood, but he couldn’t hold himself back for long. The night that passed was a blur, he remembered some, others were flashes, some blurs, but the screams were all very clear. He caught himself in the middle of nowhere, blood-soaked and looking up at stars, starts that shone brighter than he ever saw them shine before. He didn’t know what exactly he was, the woman who changed him dumped him in that storage facility and left. He didn’t know how many lives he took; he didn’t even know how to react to any of it. A week passed, and although he tried to remember, his mind shut down and all that remained was the thought of blood. He kept trying to steer clear of populated areas but forgot the thought as soon as the smell of blood was in the air. Most were hikers, campers, people who worked in desolated areas, hookers who walked the streets, etc. He may not have known much about what he was, but he figured that daylight wasn’t a good idea and therefore was able to control it so that he only hunted at night. However, this sort of behaviour attracted the wrong sort of attention, but luckily he had a guardian angle of sorts. Shaun saw Henry and his homicidal behaviour and followed him all the way from Atlanta, cleaning up his messes. It came to a point where he could no longer watch and clean up after Henry and he interfered. Henry learnt everything from Shaun, what he was, who the Volturi is, what he should and shouldn’t do and how to fight and use his gift. Henry only discovered it later on and therefore didn’t develop his ability as much as he could’ve. He had the ability to change his identity; he didn’t shape-shift into someone else, but mentally influenced others to believe he was whoever he wanted them to see. He found he couldn’t change gender, nor could he mentally block out the smell of vampire to shifters for too long, but it got him into places and even allowed him to walk in daylight among humans. However, it takes a lot of concentration, which means he cannot go walking in busy places, but small towns were easy. The two travelled together for years until one day Henry wasn’t with Shaun and Shaun got killed by a nomad. Although the nomad explained that Shaun killed his wife and that he had no beef with Henry, he couldn’t just let the nomad go. Henry eventually killed the nomad by using his ability to disguise himself and then, having to go about on his own, he started to allow his human thoughts to leak through. All they brought was memories from his childhood, and eventually memories of his brother. He remembered what the vampire who turned him had said about Mason being turned, he remembered a name, Helena, and set out to find her. There were some leads, some chatter, but nothing that could give him a strong sense of where Helena and his brother were. However, that changed when news spread of Helena’s death. Henry knew about the big conflict between the Cullens and the Volturi, but never thought much of it until he heard Mason might be heading towards Forks, where the Cullens live, and so he will as well. | ooc info ☆ NAME Call me Pan ☆ AGE Going on 21 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ TIMEZONE UTC+02:00 ☆ HOW DID YOU FIND US?
