M ason sniffed the cool, sea air around him, it had been a long time since he’d visited a town like this one. ‘Port Angeles’ the sign had stated, not too far from that small town of Forks he’d been looking for. He pulled the collar of his leather jacket up and wandered down toward the harbour. He wasn’t thirsty - in fact, earlier that day had he come across a nice little car thief in the midst of a robbery. He’d made quick work of that one, so now Mason was totally and utterly satisfied. Humans, they were all so dumb. He couldn’t abide listening to people moan about their pathetic little mortal lives. Really, it just irritated him more than anything. They had people around them that loved them, cared for them. Life wasn’t all that bad - Mason had no one. Or at least that’s what it felt like. He glowered as he passed a happy looking couple, holding hands and smiling. Ugh. Love - that was another thing he’d never experienced…nor had he cared much for the idea. Being alone was easy, no one to please. It wasn’t that he didn’t care, he’d had a family and been loved…but they were all gone now. He had no idea what had happened to his family…his brothers. All Mason knew was that the family had died out years ago, he was the only one left. And boy, it had been some life so far that was for sure. All he wondered now was why Helena had wanted out - why had she abandoned him for eternal rest? They’d been like brother and sister, but that was over now. Mason sighed, feelings weren’t his forte. As he reached the harbour Mason looked out to sea. How easy it could be for him, all he had to do was jump in and swim. Eventually he’d reach land and be able to start afresh. The Volturi wouldn’t come looking for him then…those guys made even his skin crawl. Too many rules to follow, it made being a vampire more of a chore than anything. He hopped up and sat on a wall that looked out at all the boats. It was growing dark - people were starting to head home for dinner. Running off to be with their families. It was almost as if they were afraid to be out late, in the dark, in case the monsters got them. Ha! Monsters. Little did they know that it wasn’t far from the truth. The sound of footsteps made Mason focus, someone was approaching, but the direction of the breeze made it impossible for him to know who it was.

I'm a soldier, meaning that I'm Both the defender and the judge I'm standing on both sides of the fire Moving along curves, overtaking death and life I'm running to battle with the shadow of a lie *Save your tears for the day when our pain is far behind on your feet come with me we are soldiers stand or die ----------------------------------------- Jane Volturi
---------------------------------------
Now a lot of the time Jane remained in Volterra, down to the fact that if Aro needed her she couldn’t help him if she was half way around the world. But he told her that she can come and go as she pleased. Now she was still a child in human terms, and sometimes she would use that to her advantage, but at the same when someone calls her a child she tends to get mad as she is not a child even if she looks like one. But she was one of the Volturi prized guards so one rule Aro had set her is that she must always travel with four guards; she hated it but she would never refuse an order from her father. If anything, having the guards would make anyone think twice about trying to get too close to her; without her wanting them and so far, that was only her Twin and Aro who she allowed to get that close to her. If she lost Alec, her life would be worthless they are joined at the hip and when was sad the other could feel it and when they were apart they both felt as if a piece of themselves were missing. That bond came with how close the twins are and how they almost both burned to death. It was also one of reasons why Jane is cold and shows no remorse towards the ones that she uses her gift on.
Jane was the kind of girl that only let others know what she wanted them to know about her, it is one of the reasons why she never talks about places she loves and how she sometimes spends her nights. Now Volterra had some breath-taking views, but something about water and the sound of it made her feel at peace. No doubt it was down to the fact that water keeps the fire away; and if she ever found herself trapped with fire well you would see the child that she claims not to be, fire terrifies her no matter how small or big the flames might be. And her guards where under orders to put out any flame and to put anyone down that gets too close to her with fire. She knew the perfect place to go, the docks. It was close to the water and close enough to a Volturi safe house that she could avoid the sun if she overstayed her welcome, but now it was evening and so the sun was nowhere to be seen or found. She simply began humming to herself as she drew closer to this one spot, but something was amiss a fellow vampire was in her spot. Now at first glance, you could not tell that she was Volturi but once you could see her pendant you knew just who she worked for. She simply appeared out of no ware and sat on the wall beside him. Her guards here close but not enough so they could be seen. “Huh. This is the first time i have ever seen anyone here; but i don't mind sharing for now.

Hope this is ok for you <3 little rusty playing Jane

M ason hadn’t really been paying attention to his surroundings, lost in the peaceful quiet he’d let his thoughts run away with him. He felt alone, truly alone, for the first time in a long time. He kept thinking about his life, why he was here. Now that she’d gone, what else was left for him to do? She hadn’t given him much choice - forced into this complete isolation and having to make his own way around. He let out a breath that he hadn’t noticed he’d been holding. Some day, things would be better - it was just difficult to see that coming when the lonely nights consumed him. This place, and the town of Forks, was kind of exciting for him. Mason had already come across a wolf, something he’d never expected to do. There were more hidden secrets and monsters under the bed than any of these humans cared to notice. It was amazing to him how completely oblivious mankind was to the other creatures around them. Her voice was like a dagger to the heart, Mason felt himself tense up completely. He had felt someone approach him, but he knew from the sound of her sing-songy voice that she was like him. As he turned he noticed the necklace around her neck and the symbol of the Volturi - he froze. Letting his eyes wander up to her face, he figured she couldn’t be older than fourteen. That only meant one thing to him. Jane. Her reputation proceeded her, whispers of the Volturi were common amongst vampires, and Jane was the most spoken about. Her power and the pain it inflicted on human and vampire alike was one to be afraid of. Jumping off the wall from where he sat, Mason hissed under his breath. He didn’t like being caught unawares. “I didn’t know I’d be sharing the view with a Volturi member,” he tensed his body, not ready for attack but more in a defensive way. The last people in the world Mason was going to mess with were the Volturi, they were vampire royalty and he was definitely more up for preserving his life rather than cutting it short. “What brings you this far from Aro and the city of Volterra Jane?” Showing that he knew who she was, Mason frowned. He wasn’t happy that he’d travelled the length of America, only to end up sharing a town with one of the Volturi. That was bad timing.

Jane Volturi Volturi Guard. --------------------------
Now the Volturi had killed so many vampires for this and that, but most of the time there was a justified reason for it. For example, the roman coven had to go as they stood in the way of the Volturi rise to power. Jane loved killing all the vampires who attempted to defend their castle even if the battle was won before the first dice was cast. Jane made sure to make all of them suffer she enjoyed using her pain and she loved to be feared.
Port Ange was the one place where Jane could avoid the Cullen’s and anyone who was aligned with them. She did, however, respect Carlisle as he used to be one of the leaders of sorts and as far as Cullen’s go he was the only one who she would be willing to listen to out of respect for who he was and how Aro had maintained his friendship with him. But I Aro ordered her to attack him she would do so a heartbeat. But in a more social setting, she might be willing to respect his wishes.
“I didn’t know I’d be sharing the view with a Volturi member,” Jane was not expecting to have to share this spot with a random vampire, but the way he carried himself and acted towards her made her believe that he had already had run in with the Volturi; but it must have been when Jane was on assignment as she would remember someone like mason that’s for sure. “ Well it's funny how things happen like this, but you seem to understand and respect us, so your already a step above others who I have run into on my travels.
What brings you this far from Aro and the city of Volterra Jane?” She did not feel the need that she needed to lie, is not like mason would go telling anyone or she would find him and end his life in a heartbeat. “Master has me checking up on the Cullen coven, god I hate being in that town… everyone is so nice… and Bella… well if I could break her neck I would do so in a heartbeat.” She sighed as she looked over at the boats in the harbor. “What about you, any reason you’re in town.” For the first time Jane felt as she had met one of the vampires who truly understood who the Volturi where Red☠Frost of Adox.

I t wasn’t that Mason disliked the Volturi…in fact, he felt the whole royal act was more a royal pain in the ass. Who put them in complete charge? Surely there were those a bit more powerful, and overall more able to run vampires accordingly. All it seemed the Volturi wanted to do was to become powerful and control through fear rather than respect. “Uh huh, respect…” the word felt bitter on his tongue. He was a hermit in the grand scheme of things, but if there had to be a choice between joining clans, the Volturi wouldn’t even make it into the top ten for him. “I like to know who is and isn’t worth knowing about,” he smirked a little, raising an eyebrow. “Master,” Mason scoffed a little, if he could vomit - he definitely would be. Was he all that scary that he was considered to be a ‘master’. Ugh, how medieval. Rolling his eyes, he shook his head. This wasn’t the first he’d heard of the Cullens, in fact he was seeking them out for advice and to see the extraordinary way they lived - but Mason wasn’t stupid enough to let onto Jane that those were his plans. “Why would you want to take out another vampire so much? Did she get one up on you?” He laughed, now he had to meet these people. If they’d pissed off the Volturi, or at least Jane enough to cause this sort of reaction - they were worth making alliances with. He shrugged, “oh I just felt like a change in scenery, an old friend sent me over this way with personal recommendation…plus the hospital supplies of blood are nicely stocked so it makes life a lot easier,” he chose not to feed on innocent humans, the criminals in the area didn’t fair so well. Raising an eyebrow at her, Mason watched her carefully. There was something not to be trusted about her, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. Her blood red eyes held secrets far beyond anything Mason could easily guess. But a plan began formulating, perhaps he could gain some leverage here into understanding how to unravel the Volturi.

Jane Volturi Volturi Guard. --------------------------
The Volturi had allies it might be hard to believe. but even they had friendly covens even if they did not always let on, but I was better to be an ally of the Volturi then to be in the their path. The path was always clear thanks to Alec and Jane as they pretty much made sure to clear anyone that was blocking the path. Be that vampires or humans alike.
“I like to know who is and isn’t worth knowing about,” He sounded a lot like Aro in the way that he liked to know who where worth noticing and who was worthless to him. "Then it would explain why you know me. Every vampire does and all the stories you hear and have heard about me are all true. The same goes for my Twin, he would have been with me but Aro sent him to deal with a coven." God the help the coven who dared defied the Volturi.
“Why would you want to take out another vampire so much? Did she get one up on you?” Where should she start she hated her like she hated fire. " Bella.. put it this way i don't hate many people more so then i hate her. Master says i cannot harm her so my hands our tied but she well just talking about her makes me want to break someones neck." if she ever joined the guard Jane would have no idea what to do or how to act.
“oh just felt like a change in scenery, an old friend sent me over this way with personal recommendation…plus the hospital supplies of blood are nicely stocked so it makes life a lot easier,” "You sound like you have blood on tap where ny blood comes from places well outside of Volterra. The Volturi never eat there own humans so to speak it was just bad for all parties involved.
Red☠Frost of Adox.
